Taghum Hall kitchen renovation

Taghum Hall’s next major project is a renovation to our 1950s-era kitchen, so that we’ll have an up-to-date, energy and ergonomically-efficient kitchen facility for Hall programs and for our renters. This much-needed update has been in the works for a long time! Want to help? You can:

  • Volunteer. That could be planning, site prep, clean-up, photo-documenting, elbow grease, muscle power, or … things we haven’t thought of! Follow the link and tell us about yourself.

  • Donate to the Kitchen Reno Project! Every contribution counts, because the value is two-fold: it helps us reach our fundraising goals, and it tells our government funders that the community cares!

SEE BELOW for some historic kitchen photos, from borsch-making to canning, baking to haggis, and oh, soup! We've made perogies for Ukraine, pyrahi for B.C. Culture Days, plus KidsCAN Bake and KidsCAN Cook programs and more.

Taghum Hall:
Building community, one event at a time

At Taghum Hall, we offer all kinds of inclusive programming aimed at bringing people together.  We also rent the Hall to private users, and that helps us keep the lights on and the doors open.  Please note that Taghum Hall rentals are independent functions and are not Taghum Hall-sponsored events.

The Taghum Community Society board acknowledges our gratitude to the ancestors and keepers of this land on whose traditional territories we are honoured to operate.
